Lee signed for Hinckley United in August 2007 from Harrogate Town, where he was a
player and assistant manager. Lee began his career with Peterborough United in 1986
and then moved to Cambridge United in 1989. He made over 100 appearances for the
U's, scoring 17 goals, helping the club to two successive promotions. In 1992 Leicester
City paid a transfer fee of £350,000 and Philpott spent the next 4 years at City. He
transfered to Blackpool in 1996, Lincoln City in 1998, and then joined Hull City in
2000. After 3 years with the Tiger's, Lee dropped into non-league at Weymouth in 2003,
before signing for Harrogate Town in 2004. He had also been assistant manager at
Harrogate and for a short spell in February 2005 was caretaker manager. Released in January 2008. |
