The Dutchman signed for Hinckley United in August 2007, though had to wait until
September before he received International Clearance. He started his career as
a trainee in the Ajax Academy but began his playing career with Fortuna Sittard.
He was signed by Bolton Wanderers in August 1994, before being transferred for a
fee of £400000 to West Bromwich Albion in March 1996. He played over 250 games for
the Baggies and became a 'cult legend' at the club. After 5 years with West Brom
he had short spells with Stockport County, Hull City and herfolge BK before retiring
from the professional game. He had been playing 'Masters Football' and invitational
games, but was coaxed out of retirement by Dean Thomas after they met at the 'Hong
Kong Sixes' in June 2007. His off field commitments though, will limit how many
games he plays this season.
